Tasking High Resolution Satellites - Best Practices
Timeline
A general timeline of a normal tasking:
Providing a 10 day window to collect your image gives you the best chance to have it
collected (this allows the provider some flexibility for uncontrollable events like weather).
For example, you would set a Start Date of June 1st & an End Date of June 10th, with
an interval of 10 days.
The image is typically delivered 24 hours after collection so give yourself an extra day or
two to receive the order.
Minimums
Minimum Area: 25km2 (2500 Hectares, 6178 Acres)
Area Width: 2km (200 Hectares, 495 Acres)
Alternate Results & First Available
Alternate results are other results that were found in the same date range that might not match all of your search criteria. It can be useful to know what other data were available for a specific date range if, for example, you were able to tolerate a higher cloud cover and increase your budget.
To receive updated alternate results, select ‘First Available’ (in the Advanced section of the settings page. First available pipelines return a result as soon as date is received that matches your search criteria.
